Family Planning
The Sanilac County Health Department provides a wide range of services for both male and female clients.
- Family Planning Services are voluntary, confidential and affordable. Parental consent is not required.
- Services are charged based on your ability to pay utilizing an income based sliding fee scale, multiple insurances accepted. Inability to pay will not deny services.
SERVICES AVAILABLE
- Information and education on birth control and sexual health for all genders.
- Help choosing the birth control method that best fits your life.
- Help planning a healthy pregnancy when you want a baby.
- Pregnancy testing and counseling.
- Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- Preventative health exams to screen for breast, cervical and testicular cancer (breast exams, pap smears and testicular exams)
- Referrals to medical or community resources as indicated.
- Clients are seen by appointment.
