The Sanilac County Maternal & Infant Health Program (MIHP) is one of Michigan's largest, evidence-based home visitation programs for pregnant women and their infants who are enrolled in Medicaid.  Sometimes growing a family can be overwhelming. Let our MIHP staff help! Let us help you to feel your best during pregnancy and do your best raising your baby.

COST OF SERVICES

MIHP services are covered by Medicaid insurance.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE 
 
Pregnant women and infant's under 1 year of age who are currently enrolled in Medicaid.  If you are unsure if you are eligible please visit our Navigator Page.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

  • Monthly visits with licensed professionals.
  • Education on prenatal care and progress of pregnancy, newborn care, feeding and nutrition, general development, breastfeeding and much more!
  • We can also assist in providing referrals for baby items, transportation, utility assistance, medical care, community events, food distribution etc.
  • Half-hour sessions available 5 days a week in the comfort of your own home or at the Sanilac County Health Department.
  • Assistance with mileage reimbursement.
